Carine Roitfeld's recent CNN videos garnered much interest internationally but one of our favorite highlights was to see the editorial process live and featured in print in the current April Vogue Paris. While many magazines are debuting "behind the scenes" features, it is rare to have one of the calibre of Vogue Paris and to actually have the editor in chief and a photographer of the status of Patrick Demarchelier explaining how a concept evolves. With Dutch beauty Ymre Stiekema , the video (featured here) shows the work it takes to achieve the final shots. Shot at an agricultural show, the shoot's goal is to contrast the haute couture clothes with the classic French farm animals. Ymre shows why she's a current choice among the industry's top lensmen, gamely breaking an egg, holding a reluctant rooster and emoting the proper placid expressions for the bucolic atmosphere. Our fave moment? When Carine says "We made a casting between the different cows and different lambs, the casting of animals is not easy." We say the fact that you did is why we adore you Carine!
